COED KINDERGARTEN: New this year! Introduction to lacrosse! 8-week program. 1 practice per week. Sticks are provided. Mouth piece is required. Begins late March (TBA).

BOYS/GIRLS 1st-2nd GRADE: Full Equipment. Focus is on fundamentals and team play. 1 practice per week and 1-3 play dates. Begins late March (TBA)  

BOYS/GIRLS 3rd-4th GRADE TEAMS: Full Equipment. Focus is on skill development and better understanding of the game. This level is also an introduction to competitive lacrosse. 2 practices per week (pending game schedule) and 8-10 games. Practices and games may be weeknight or weekends. Begins early March (TBA).

BOYS/GIRLS 5th-6th GRADE TEAMS: Full Equipment. Focus on core fundamentals while being introduced to more advanced skills that will increase the players lacrosse IQ. Competitive game play in the Coastal Lacrosse League (CLL). 2 practices per week (pending game schedule) and 8-10 games. Practices and games may be weeknight or weekends. Begins early March (TBA). 

BOYS/GIRLS 7th-8th GRADE TEAMS: Full equipment. Continued focus on the core fundamentals and introduction of advanced skill. Further introduce offensive and defensive strategies, transitions skills, and game tactics. Begin to prepare players for their high school program. Competitive game play in the Coastal Lacrosse League (CLL). 2 practices per week (pending game schedule) and 8-10 games. Practices and games may be weeknight or weekends. Begins early March (TBA).  

EQUIPMENT:

Please note that equipment (except for goalies) is not provided.

Per US Lacrosse rules (https://www.usalacrosse.com/equipment), Boys are required to use a position specific stick, helmet, mouth guard, elbow pads, properly fitted chest protector(that meet NOCSAE standard ND200), athletic supporter and cleats. Depending on position, goalie pads and/or a rib protector. Girls are required to use a position specific stick, wear goggles, mouth guard and cleats.

Deadline to register is February 6, 2025

Each player is required to become active USA Lacrosse Members which provides insurance. The cost is $30 for a one-year membership. A valid USA Lacrosse Membership Number (www.uslacrosse.org) must be entered online when you register your player (must not expire before 6/1/2026). You must designate “Shore Youth Lacrosse” as your player’s team when you register.
